Trainings
Working safely
According to the Dutch Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Work Equipment directive, an employer is responsible for providing thorough, expert training for its employees. Of course, machine manufacturers do all they can to make the operation of their machines as safe and as easy as possible. European legislation also dictates the conditions that the machines must meet. However, in order to guarantee the safety of the operator, as well as people and objects in the immediate vicinity of the machine, good basic knowledge of how the machine works and practical training in accordance with national and international standards are required. An increasing number of clients are demanding that certain machines are only operated by people who have completed a recognized training course.
Work platform, forklift truck and telehandler training courses
Doornbos Equipment is currently working in cooperation with ‘t Web as a training, advice and examination company at our branch in Rotterdam. However, it is also possible for these services to take place at your company. Doornbos Equipment will then ensure that machines are available at your premises.
Our training courses last two half days and consist of a theory section and a practical section. The training courses are completed with theory and skill tests. The participants who successfully complete a course receive a certificate and the training course can be included in the participant’s Personal Safety logbook. The certificate is recognized as proof that the holder has successfully completed a thorough and practical-orientated training course.
Besides holding our own examinations, the ‘t Web training courses can also be held in accordance with the VCA test standards (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors). The ‘t Web instructors have the necessary licence to hold these examinations.
High-pressure and vacuum equipment training courses
We work in cooperation with the Dutch Industrial Cleaning Foundation (SIR) to provide training courses for working safely with high-pressure and vacuum equipment. The sector association’s objective is to promote and regulate safe working practices in the industrial cleaning sector. The SIR organizes the examinations for four disciplines (high-pressure liquid cleaning, pressure and vacuum cleaning, technical chemical cleaning and breathing protection) and works in cooperation with various training, advice and certification institutes.
