VCA-FULL and VCA-BASIS

VCA stands for VGM Checklist voor Aannemers (VGM = Safety, Health, Environment). The SCC is seen as a standard requirement for risky work activities or working in risky areas. Without a VCA certificate, no assignments may be carried out in a risky area. The client can, if he has not verified this, be held liable. In principle, clients always ask for a VCA certificate.

Who needs a VCA?

This certificate is indispensable for anyone who works in a risky environment, such as a factory, port or building project. A VCA certificate is also a requirement when carrying out risky work activities. In principle, this means that all contractors, painters, scaffolding builders, traffic controllers, (mechanical) engineers, technicians and people working in petrochemicals or industry need at least a VCA certificate. Participation in the training does not require specific prior education.

Different VCA Certificates

There are two variants of the VCA:

The B-VCA, also known as VCA-Basis, has been set up for every employee in a risky field or employees working in high-risk activities.

The VCA-Full is set up for managers and goes deeper into the topics.
