Flange Fitter

Working on flange connections requires attention and discipline. This is because opening and closing flange connections is not without risks and hazards. Doing this (de)assembly work incorrectly is always lurking. Therefore, it is very important for workers to learn about these connections before doing the work. At Doornbos Equipment, we conduct two-day training sessions on Working on Flange Connections. With and without protocol.

WHY GET YOUR WFPR CERTIFICATION AT DOORNBOS EQUIPMENT?

  • Instructors with years of experience.
  • Professional training setup available for hands-on exercises
  • Experience in training experienced, inexperienced, national and international participants.
  • Extensive time is taken to practice well in addition to theory.

Employees working on flange connections

The trainings are designed for flange fitters; employees who open and close flange connections at (petro-)chemical plant sites. During the Working on Flange Connections training course, they learn to assess risks and learn all about safe preparation, execution and inspection. In doing so, we reduce the risk of dangerous situations and business damage. Has the employee already taken the training but the certificate is no longer valid? Then schedule a one-day refresher training.

Working according to protocol (WFPR)

This training is also known as the flange fitter course. We give this course to employees who work according to the protocol of the NEN-EN-1591. Specially designed for mounting and dismounting flanges with specified tightening torque. This is not without risk and thus must be carried out accurately according to protocol. Participants become familiar with procedures and safety measures.

Working without protocol

It is not always mandatory to work according to protocol. In that case, training Working on flange connections without protocol is sufficient. This is the case when the participant opens and closes low-pressure flange connections while working. Again, the participant becomes familiar with all procedures, safety rules and risks.

SOG Exam

We offer employees at (petro-)chemical plant sites the option of concluding the training with an SOG exam that meets the guidelines of the Stichting Samenwerken Voor Veiligheid (SSVV). This applies to both training, with and without protocol.
