NEN 3140
*NEN 3140, based on NEN-EN 50110 is a standard that contains all relevant requirements for low-voltage installations for the Netherlands. NEN 3140 applies to the operation of electrical installations and equipment up to a nominal voltage of 1000 volts AC and 1500 volts DC.
Employers are required to ensure that employees working on or near low-voltage electrical installations are competent enough and that it is also clear who can do what and who is responsible for what (Working Conditions Act article 3.2). Employees of companies working with or on electrical installations must be aware of the hazards and risks posed by the work.

Duration of training and exam
The NEN 3140 training courses VP and VOP last one day. Upon successful completion of the basic training, you will receive a NEN 3140 certificate and Doornbos pass. These are valid for 3 years.
The Access Electrical Premises (TEB) course is 2 hours long. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
Training dates and prices
- NEN 3140 Training – Sufficiently Instructed Person (VOP): € 245.
- NEN 3140 Training – Qualified Person (VP): € 295.
- Access Electrical Premises (TEB): €100.
